Hogan Lovells wins Transport Deal of the Year award for advisement of the refinancing of JFK Airport's New Terminal One Project at the 2023 IJGlobal Awards
Hogan Lovells is thrilled to announce it has been recognized with Transport Deal of the Year - Airport – North America, at the IJGlobal Awards 2023 for advisement on a bond issuance to refinance a portion of the costs relating to the New Terminal One Project of John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City.
The IJGlobal Awards recognize greenfield and refinancing deals that closed in the 2023 calendar year across the globe in the many different sectors that combine to reflect infrastructure and energy. The awards are independent and peer-reviewed. Winners were announced at a gala on March 14, 2024 in New York City and more information on the UJGlobal Awards 2023 can be found here.
The Houston-based Hogan Lovells team, led by partner Dave Locascio and associate Mariana Avendano, advised Assured Guaranty Municipal Corp. (AGM) in its insurance of US$800 million of senior Special Facilities Revenue Bonds, Series 2023, issued by the New York Transportation Development Corporation. These bonds insured by AGM are part of a US$2 billion issue of fixed-rate bonds, were designated as green bonds.
