Hogan Lovells recognized as Global Competition Review's Top 100 'Global Elite'
Washington, D.C. 21 December 2023 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells has once again been recognized by Global Competition Review’s ‘GCR 100’ guide as a ‘Global Elite’ firm. This annual guide recognizes law firms and economic consultancies who are “doing the most important antitrust work around the world.” Hogan Lovells was also recognized among the world’s top 10 private litigation practices this year. Further, 11 of the firm’s offices around the world were ranked by the guide — a testament to the firm’s ability to serve clients’ interests virtually anywhere in the world.
Hogan Lovells’ private litigation practice is ranked in the top 10 this year by GCR, “propelled by a substantial portfolio of work on both sides of the Atlantic.” The guide specifically highlights the firm’s victory on behalf of Agri Stats in June 2023 and the firm’s continued work defending Volkswagen against the Italian Competition Authority. GCR also recognizes the firm’s “range of impressive” cartels matters noting the firm’s work defending an aerospace engineering executive against the U.S. Department of Justice’s criminal no-poach allegations as well as the firm’s continued representation of Crédit Agricole in challenging the European Commission’s €4 million fine in its SSA bonds cartel case.
This past year has seen Hogan Lovells secure high profile wins against the U.S. government in merger trials on behalf of clients UnitedHealth Group (UHG), ASSA ABLOY, Within Unlimited, and Louisiana Children’s Medical Center. GCR also awarded Hogan Lovells “Merger Control Matter of the Year” in the Americas for the UHG transaction and litigation.
