Paris, 22 July 2019 - Hogan Lovells advised Bardot Group in relation to the signing of an agreement with La Réunion's University Hospital for the installation of SWAC (Sea Water Air Conditioning) by 2023.

SWAC is a process that substitutes almost all of the electrical energy required for air conditioning with thermal energy from the sea. The energy study conducted by the University Hospital estimates that 10GWh/year of electricity will be saved at the Saint-Pierre site, representing a 30% reduction in the hospital's overall electricity consumption.

Founded in 2004, Bardot Group offers turnkey solutions together with complex subsea systems for oil production and also carries out renewable marine thermal energy projects.

The Hogan Lovells team advising Bardot Group comprised of Bruno Cantier (partner) and Perrine Limousin (Counsel) on public law aspects and project agreements. Xenia Legendre (partner) advised on tax aspects.
