Hogan Lovells advises British International Investment plc (formerly CDC Group plc) in connection with its purchase of a “green basket bond”

14 June 2022 – Hogan Lovells has advised British International Investment plc as bond purchaser in connection with its purchase of a “green basket bond” (the “Bond”) issued by Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Bonds S.A., for the purposes of the financing of SMEs in different jurisdictions. The objective of the Bond is to provide investors with exposure to a pool of green loans to eligible underlying obligors globally.

The transaction was arranged by Symbiotics UK Limited. Symbiotics is a leading investment company dedicated to inclusive and sustainable finance.

The Hogan Lovells team was led by the Global Head of Financial Institutions and Insurance Sector Sharon Lewis, assisted by Andrew Carey (Senior Counsel), Ailsa Davies (Senior Associate) and Joanna Veitch (Associate).
