London, 25 January 2021 – Hogan Lovells partners Stephen Bennett, Aline Doussin and Jane Summerfield are featured in the Lawyer's Hot 100 list, published today.

The prestigious list from leading UK legal magazine The Lawyer celebrates the most innovative and creative lawyers in the UK from private practice, in-house and the Bar.

Stephen Bennett, partner, was recognised for representing Olaplex in its win over L'Oréal in the Supreme Court. According to the Lawyer, Stephen "has gained a reputation in the market as a standout patent litigator whose cases have changed the law on multiple occasions" and "his most recent triumphs are only the latest in a garlanded career".

Aline Doussin, Head of UK Trade at Hogan Lovells, was recognised for her stellar legal work on Brexit planning, including as an influential adviser to policymakers and the UK Government. She advised the Department of International Trade on several free trade agreements with key countries outside the EU. She is also a member of the British American Business Policy Steering Committee, talking issues that shape the UK-U.S. trade and investment relationship in the long term. Her client and pro bono work have also received high praise.

Jane Summerfield, Co-Head of Hogan Lovells' Life Sciences and Health Care industry sector, was recognised for guiding clients through the unique regulatory and commercial challenges of COVID-19 projects, ranging from vaccines, therapeutics and face masks, to ventilators. This included advising Penlon on its ventilator deal with the Government, which enabled it to mass-produce an adapted version of its existing ventilator at unprecedented speed.

Stephen, Aline and Jane commented: "It is a privilege to be considered among the best lawyers in the UK. We are delighted with today's recognition."

Charles Brasted, Head of the UK Global Regulatory practice at Hogan Lovells, said: "This is a fantastic achievement for Aline, Jane and Stephen, and testament to the strength of our Global Regulatory and IPMT practice and its deep expertise in operating at the intersection of business and Government.
