Advising Kinder Morgan on its response to the Trump Administration levying significant tariffs on steel.

Assisting numerous clients with gaining federal approval to export liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the U.S. and with the development of large and expensive facilities for exporting LNG.

Assisting clients with advocacy related to federal energy efficiency standards.

Representing a large renewable energy company in seeking support from Congress and the U.S. Department of Interior for wind and transmission projects.

Representing clients, including traditional and renewable energy suppliers, providers, operators, and trade associations in government relations efforts related to energy legislation introduced in 2010.

Actively involved in all congressional actions related to electric transmission, including with regard to tax incentives and regulatory proposals.

Regularly counseling and assisting clients in obtaining legislative or regulatory changes, or interpretive rulings at the state level to obtain renewable energy credits.

Actively involved in promoting changes to energy investment tax credit provisions for solar, geothermal, fuel cell, and microturbine property.

Advising the largest U.S. developer of solar photovoltaic projects on a variety of project, tax, and renewable energy credit issues.

Influencing the federal renewable fuel standard and in seeking to influence proposed federal renewable portfolio standard legislation on behalf of renewable energy clients.

Assisting four clients in submitting requests for potential funding under DOE's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy program, including one of the 37 awardees out of an initial field of more than 3,400 applicants.

Advising two clients in connection with possible partnerships with the Western Area Power Administration for new transmission facilities.

Assisting several clients in applying for funding under DOE's Clean Coal Power Initiative and represented an awardee in negotiating a cooperative agreement.

Assisting several clients in negotiating award agreements under various Recovery Act funded programs, including three utility smart grid awardees.

Working extensively on legislative and regulatory issues related to siting and building of electric transmission.

Supporting the work to gain federal approval for G2 to export natural gas from the U.S.
