From startups to multinational companies, Samuel has advised all manner of businesses on complicated disputes involving commercial, intellectual property, and corporate governance issues. Samuel draws on his breadth of experience to help clients navigate complex matters so that they can get back to business.

In addition to his commercial practice, Samuel is an active participant in the pro bono program at Hogan Lovells, having developed a passion for providing access to legal services for those in need during his summer internship at the Central Virginia Legal Aid Society in 2016. His pro bono representation spans a variety of subject areas including landlord-tenant interactions, child custody and visitation, and animal welfare.

While in law school, Samuel worked as a summer associate in our Northern Virginia office and served as a staff member at the Virginia Journal of Criminal Law.

Representative experience

Won bench trial in control dispute before the Delaware Chancery Court and successfully defended verdict on appeal to the Delaware Supreme Court.

Representation of public and private companies in shareholder lawsuits challenging mergers & acquisitions.

Representation of companies and investors in disputes involving governance issues, post-closing issues, and joint-ventures.
