She represents clients in and advises on infringement and nullity proceedings and brings extensive experience in a diverse range of industry sectors, in particular in the mechanical engineering, telecommunication, electronics and automotive industry. Verena likes the concept of introducing a Unitary Patent for Europe and pursued the project from the beginning. She is an author of the Tilmann/Plassmann Unitary Patent and UPC commentary and therefore the "go-to" lawyer when it comes to questions about the new Unified Patent Court and the European Patent with unitary effect.
Before joining our firm, Verena studied law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany. During her legal traineeship (Rechtsreferendariat) at the Munich Court of Appeals, she was already a member of our Intellectual Property, Media & Technology (IPMT) practice group and the Munich patent law group.
