Practice groupLitigation

A dynamic and pragmatic problem solver, Vassi Iliadis helps clients navigate all aspects of complex litigation arising out of some of the greatest risks to both established and emerging companies today: cyber attacks and data breaches. Vassi guides companies through coordinated incident response and discovery obligations in cyber-related litigation (including class actions and multijurisdictional suits) and regulatory investigations. She also oversees internal investigations and counsels clients on compliance efforts.

In addition to her client work, Vassi is a leader on the recruitment and diversity committees at Hogan Lovells and is passionate about pro bono work. In 2018, she and a team of Hogan Lovells litigators received the Public Counsel Pro Bono Award in recognition of their vigorous representation of an indigent client and their procurement of an outstanding settlement on his behalf.

Before joining the firm, Vassi worked at Hogan Lovells as a summer associate. During law school, she was actively engaged in trial advocacy and served as a director of the Berkeley Law mock trial program. She was a national semi-finalist in the ABA labor and employment trial competition and regional champion of the Texas Young Lawyer Association's national trial competition. She received the American Jurisprudence Award for advanced trial practice. In addition, Vassi served as the California annual review editor for the Berkeley Journal of Criminal Law, and as a law clerk in the criminal division of the California Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General.
