Rémy Schlich focuses his practice on Data Privacy and Cybersecurity, Technology, Media, Telecommunications and Intellectual Property. 

He assists and represents French and international companies on both transaction and litigation matters, particularly in the sectors of AdTech, e-Commerce, FinTech, online services and media, mobility and transportation, real estate and luxury industries.

Rémy advises French, European and global clients in their compliance with GDPR and ePrivacy regulations, through due diligences, investigations, data protection and data transfer impact assessments, data processing and data transfer agreements, privacy policies, cookie policies, records of processing activities, as well as data breach crisis management and notifications.

Besides, Rémy also assists clients in their contractual strategy for the distribution and purchase of IT and Cloud services, software licensing or the protection of intellectual property assets, notably through IT and licensing agreements, drafting of general terms and conditions and related complex negotiations.

Rémy was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2021. Before joining Hogan Lovells, he was an associate in a French "boutique" law firm focusing on Data Protection and Technology matters. He also previously worked for several years for a US law firm as well as for a leading global business services provider in Luxembourg.

Assisting a French leading AdTech company with regard to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) issues, in particular concerning international transfers of personal data.*

Assisting a multinational retail corporation in the context of an investigation and litigation proceeding relating to "cookies" before the French Data Protection Authority and the Conseil d’Etat.

Assisting an international luxury goods company in complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), both vis-à-vis customers and employees.
