Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that counsel Todd Matras has been honored with the Pro Bono All-Star Award on behalf of non-profit organization Her Justice at the 2024 Commitment to Justice Awards.

The awards honor pro bono partners who have done outstanding work to help clients achieve favorable outcomes within the civil justice system. These awards also recognize individuals whose dedication to their clients transcends the bounds of their pro bono duties, encompassing services such as translation assistance, legal representation, and beyond.

“The work I and other volunteer lawyers do for Her Justice is what inspired many of us to become lawyers in the first place – providing solace, guidance, and high quality legal representation to people when they need it the most,” said Matras. “I am very proud to have played a small part in Her Justice’s mission, and I am truly humbled to receive this honor.”

Her Justice supports women living in poverty in New York City by recruiting and mentoring volunteer lawyers to offer pro bono legal assistance to address individual and systemic legal challenges, providing vital services in areas such as financial independence and protection from abuse to women who lack the financial means to access them independently.
