Hogan Lovells partner Matt McTygue named president elect of the Boston Bar Association

Washington, D.C., 21 July 2023 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that Boston partner Matthew V.P. McTygue has been selected as the next president elect of the Boston Bar Association (BBA), effective 1 September. McTygue currently serves as the BBA’s Vice President, dedicating a significant amount of time to pro bono activities in the Boston legal community.

As part of the leadership change, the BBA will welcome five new officers and nine new members of its governing Council, which will advance the mission of the BBA to promote the highest standards of excellence for the legal profession, facilitate access to justice, foster a diverse and inclusive professional community, and serve the community at large.

McTygue joined the firm’s practice Corporate & Finance practice in February 2023, representing numerous private equity and venture capital firms, investors, and private companies in a broad range of acquisition, financing, and other business transactions. His advises across a broad range of industries including Energy, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Technology.
