Merve Schmitte advises financial institutions, sponsors and corporates on a wide range of complex financing transactions, specialising in international energy and infrastructure projects. Merve has broad experience in managing financing transactions and bringing them to a financial close efficiently.
Before joining Hogan Lovells, Merve worked at banking & finance teams of international law firms in Frankfurt. Merve has represented domestic and international clients in various financing transactions and has a favorable track record in real estate finance.

Advised international banks and The Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) on the EUR 370 million ECA-covered financing for the II stage Tyligulska wind power plant in Ukraine.
Advised an international bank on the financing for a private equity fund for the acquisition of a commercial real estate portfolio.*

Advising a reputable investment fund on the financing of the acquisition and development of an office building in Spain.*
