Gil McDonald focuses on corporate, securities, and general business law. His clients include large corporations engaged in complex transactions, as well as entrepreneurs navigating the challenges of launching and growing their business.
In his practice, Gil advises clients on issues regarding securities filings, stock exchange requirements, M&A transactions, and corporate governance matters.
During law school, Gil worked as an intern in the post-presidency office of Barack Obama and as an honors intern at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Gil also served as a notes editor of The George Washington University Law Review. He completed his school's pro bono service recognition and currently maintains an active pro bono practice.

Advised a Washington, D.C.-based biotech social enterprise on organizational and corporate governance matters.
Represented Anthem, Inc. in its US$2.5bn bond offering.
Advised a nonprofit organization on affiliation agreements effecting regional expansion.
