Dr. Matthias Schweiger
Matthias Schweiger helps clients with complex product liability litigation. He represents clients in court and has a great deal of experience in multi-claimant and mass torts litigation, international conflicts of laws and jurisdiction as well as supply chain disputes. Matthias focuses his practice at Hogan Lovells on the Life Sciences industry, in particular medical devices and pharmaceuticals, and industrial goods. He helps in coordinating cross-border product liability cases and managing multinational litigation cases.
As defence counsel, Matthias advises on strategy regarding claims and litigation, implications for business and crisis communication. Matthias was awarded a research doctorate by the University of Regensburg (summa cum laude). He has published on procedural law and various topics of national and international product liability. He is a member of the firm's Digital Health Team and the Class Actions Group.
