Lauren H. Kimmel focuses her practice on international debt capital markets, particularly in emerging markets. Her work at Hogan Lovells covers a broad range of capital markets transactions, including cross-border debt offerings and other financings, liability management, corporate trusts, and structured finance transactions. She has represented a variety of underwriters, issuers, investors, lenders, borrowers, corporate trustees, and insurers.
Lauren is also an active member of the firm's Derivatives practice, advising on a wide array of over-the-counter and exchange-traded derivative products, as well as related regulatory schemes, in both complex and bespoke transactions, with a focus on interest rate, credit, and foreign exchange (FX) derivatives, as well as futures and repos. She regularly advises clients on all aspects of derivatives regulatory compliance.
Lauren brings to the firm a deep and comprehensive understanding of international public policy and negotiation, having worked previously in the realm of diplomacy and foreign affairs.
