Chloe Honeyborne focuses her practice on corporate transactions. She helps her clients engaging in mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, and general corporate advisory work.

Chloe has represented companies spanning a number of industries, including technology, transport, healthcare, life sciences and insurance. She is particularly focused on the financial services sector, advising clients on insurance and pensions M&A deals. Chloe's client's range from FTSE 100 listed companies and multi-jurisdictional businesses to start-ups. She was seconded to the Hogan Lovells Johannesburg office in 2017 and has a keen interest in African investments including infrastructure and energy projects.

Chloe is also passionate about pro bono causes, particularly those related to women's rights. She represents survivors of sexual abuse in their applications for criminal injuries compensation.

Representative experience

Advising ConvaTec, a FTSE 100 global medical products and technologies company, on a group restructure of its European operations. 

Open Banking: an industry body established by the UK’s 9 largest retail banks following a CMA order to drive competition, innovation and transparency in retail banking, on its governance arrangements.

IBM on the global separation and reorganisation of Kyndryl Holdings, Inc., its managed infrastructure services business, prior to the spin-off of Kyndryl into a separate publicly traded company.

Uber on its governance arrangements in the UK in the context of an ongoing licence appeal, following a decision by Transport for London to refuse Uber's application to renew its operator's licence.

 

The Anergi Group on its acquisition of an interest in the Lake Turkana Wind Power project, Africa’s largest wind farm.

Advising the Opportunities Group on the sale of a minority stake in a leading Ghanaian financial institution which focuses on servicing the marginalised and those excluded from mainstream banking.

Advising Cardano Holdings Limited on its acquisition of NOW: Pensions, a master trust multi-employer occupational pensions scheme.

 

Advising Ares on the cash confirmation aspects of the £144.62 million takeover of Nucleus Financial Group plc by James Hay Holdings Ltd

Advising Synopsys Inc, a Silicon Valley based international technology company, on its acquisition of Moortec Semiconductor Limited, an international leading provider of in-chip monitoring technology
