Dr. Elena Wiese offers companies of various industries pragmatic advice on all issues of German and European antitrust law. She represents companies before the European Commission, the German Federal Cartel Office and European as well as German courts.  

One focus of her work is defending her clients in antitrust fine proceedings. Clients rely on her industry knowledge and expertise in preparing leniency documents, negotiating settlements with competition authorities and preparing for possible follow-on damages proceedings.

Elena Wiese successfully advises complex international competitor cooperations, for example in the area of joint production or in the area of ESG / green competition law, whether through joint ventures or contractual alliances. She pays particular attention to the practical and antitrust-compliant design of the accompanying exchange of information between competitors.

In her day-to-day work, one area of her focus is the interface between antitrust and patent law, e.g., regarding the licensing of standard-essential patents, as well as in advising on R&D and technology transfer agreements.
