Babette Dol is a member of our Intellectual Property, Media and Technology (IPMT) Group. She advises both national and international clients in the consumer, fashion, retail and technology industries on all areas of and closely related to soft IP, such as trademarks, copyrights, design rights, trade names and unfair competition.
In addition to soft IP, Babette has particular interest in media law and the ever-changing online environment resulting in today’s digital legal challenges online platforms are confronted with. She wrote her theses on abuse of dominance through the use of (big) data and the use of online personalization under different legal regimes, where her areas of interest came together.
During her studies, Babette provided free legal advice to start-ups and individuals on all aspects of information law (including intellectual property, media law and privacy related issues), learning how to provide clients with practical advice and creative solutions tailored to their specific needs.
