Jolien focuses on corporate and financial law and advises a diverse client base in these matters, including credit institutions, publicly listed companies, large international groups, private equity firms and domestic companies. She advises on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital market transactions, financial transactions, various ESG matters, obligations for Belgian publicly listed companies, corporate reorganizations and general corporate and financial law matters. 

She is also an academic researcher and teaching assistant at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and has authored more than 100 publications related to corporate and financial law matters.

Jolien graduated from the University of Ghent with a Master’s degree in law (2019) and from the University of Queen Mary with an LLM Master’s degree in International Business Law (2020). She has also completed a programme on private equity at Oxford University.

Jolien joined Hogan Lovells in April 2025. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Jolien worked as a corporate & finance associate in the global corporate and finance practice at another international law firm
