Dr. Brian Hagiel advises companies on protecting and enforcing their trademarks and other intellectual property rights. He brings technical insight to legal practice and develops digital solutions to improve legal workflows.
Before joining us as an associate, Brian Hagiel gained practical experience as a research assistant in our Hamburg IP team. He completed his legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Celle, with placements in our offices in Hamburg and Alicante as well as at the Hamburg Senate Chancellery. Prior to that, he completed his doctorate in legal psychology at the University of Hamburg as a scholarship holder of the State Graduate Funding Program. During this time, he also worked at the Chair for Private Law and Legal Dialog with Developing Countries and taught at the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing.
