MK focuses her practice on intellectual property, media, and technology issues. Working with clients in the life sciences, transportation, telecommunications, and consumer products industries, MK provides guidance on complex commercial transactions and offers skillful drafting to advance clients’ business objectives.
While attending law school, MK worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable David J. Novak of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and as an extern for the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia. MK also served as a notes editor of the William & Mary Law Review, as a constitutional law teaching assistant for Professor Neal Devins, and as a law clerk for William & Mary Law School’s Special Education Advocacy Clinic. Prior to law school, MK was a member of the marketing team at an international regulatory law firm and worked as a staff assistant in the United States House of Representatives.
MK makes pro bono work a cornerstone of her practice and has provided assistance to multiple individuals seeking asylum in the United States. She also regularly advises pro bono clients on intellectual property matters.
