Dr. Ademola Bamgbose is a lawyer in the international arbitration group. He is also a key member of the global Africa practice, and is admitted to practice in Nigeria, England and Wales.

He represents clients in high-value international arbitrations, spanning multiple sectors and jurisdictions, and under the major arbitral rules. He has previously undertaken a commercial litigation secondment in the legal department of a top FTSE 100 company in London.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, he spent time at the ICC Court of Arbitration in Paris. He has also worked at a leading dispute resolution firm in Lagos, where he advised on commercial disputes and represented clients in complex litigations at superior courts in Nigeria.

Ademola has a keen interest in Africa and the emerging markets, and he regularly speaks and contributes to ongoing discourse in international commercial law and arbitration.

Acting for an African Central Bank in a high-value LCIA Arbitration arising from a contract for provision of services relating to mobile payments, including claims of fraud.

Acting for a Global Fortune 500 company in appeals before the English Court of Appeal and Supreme Court in relation to a guarantee, including claims of bribery.

Acting for a West African investor in a high-value LCIA Arbitration against a listed South African multi-national arising from a telecommunications joint venture.

Advising a Central Asian company on English enforcement proceedings arising in relation to an ICC Arbitration, including claims of state immunity.

Acting for an Asian State in an LCIA Arbitration against an European multinational regarding a high-value dispute arising from a contract in the telecommunications sector.
