Iran Deal Provides Plan for Changing Sanctions Regime

On July 14, after months of negotiations, China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States and Iran reached an agreement, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), regarding Iran's nuclear program. The JCPOA, including its five annexes and four attachments, creates a detailed and complex process by which Iran must take certain steps to ensure the peaceful nature of its nuclear program while the United States and the European Union cease the application of nuclear-related sanctions and ultimately repeal them.
