Being an Associate is the first important step in your career at Hogan Lovells. You will start gradually working with clients directly and developing your relationship with them within the firm under the supervision of a Partner or a Senior Associate.
You will use your legal knowledge and communication skills to creatively identify potential issues and suggest solutions to solve them. Your work will concentrate on providing legal advice on different issues, performing commercial and legal research in trade mark clearances, assessing possible negotiation strategies in pre-contentious matters and drafting observations in opposition and cancellation proceedings as well as in reply to absolute grounds objections before EUIPO. Along the way, you will get to know colleagues from other offices and work and coordinate with them matters in different jurisdictions, thus establishing your own network of contacts within the firm.
Over time you will show sufficient independency in the management of your matters and will be able to assist Partners and Senior Associates in more complex cases.
