Back to the Future - Emerging trends and issues in rent review

Tuesday, 14 November 2017
8:15 am - 9:45 am
London

The Hogan Lovells Real Estate Team will be hosting a breakfast seminar to discuss current and emerging trends in rent review and the impact of an increasingly complex world.

Following a run of high profile cases in the 1980s and 1990s it seemed that the legal issues surrounding the open market rent review were largely settled. For a long time that may well have been true. However, the world is changing. Ever-greater regulation, technological advances and increasingly sophisticated occupational requirements are all impacting upon the traditional open market rent review, often in ways which could not have been anticipated.

Speakers

Henry Ward, Director and rent review specialist at CBRE, will provide his insight into current market trends and the challenges and opportunities facing landlords and occupiers.

Paul Tonkin and Shanna Davison, Senior Associates at Hogan Lovells, will review some of the legal challenges arising in negotiating and applying rent review provisions in ever more complex scenarios.
