Abby Walter Gray helps clients navigate complex civil litigation with a particular focus on class actions and multijurisdictional lawsuits. She advocates for clients across industry sectors, primarily in privacy, data breach, and healthcare-related matters.

Abby has experience across all stages of civil litigation, including incident response, discovery and confidentiality disputes, depositions, motions practice, and settlement negotiations. She draws upon her knowledge of the inner workings of federal courts and her background in policy analysis to advise her clients through complicated legal landscapes.

Abby began her legal career at a local children’s advocacy nonprofit and maintains an active pro bono practice representing families in Washington, DC. She is also a member of litigation teams challenging the constitutionality of a state’s use of the death penalty and representing a class of indigent defendants deprived of their Sixth Amendment right to counsel.

Abby completed a joint degree in law and education policy at Stanford Law School and was an editor of the Stanford Law Review. She previously worked as an Education Policy Fellow for a member of the U.S. Senate.

Abby served as a law clerk to the Honorable Deborah L. Boardman of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
