As counsel in the Hogan Lovells Litigation Group, Victoria Lindsay focuses her practice on financial services disputes. She regularly acts for retail and investment banks, funds and other financial institutions in contentious matters.

Victoria has extensive experience in financial services litigation and contentious regulatory disputes, including internal investigations and enforcement proceedings brought by the FCA and other regulators. She has spent time on secondment with a major financial services provider.

Victoria has also acted on a broad range of commercial litigation, including contractual disputes and fraud, often with an international element. She has experience of handling all aspects of cross-border litigation, including freezing relief and asset tracing.

Representative experience

Acting for BTA Bank in its multi-billion dollar fraud claim against the bank's former chairman, Mukhtar Ablyazov.
Acting for a leading bank in relation to financial services mis-selling claims.
Advising a major bank on investigations into benchmarks and engaging with regulators and authorities in numerous jurisdictions.
Advising an asset management company in respect of an insider dealing investigation by the UK regulator.
Acting for an investment bank in emerging markets in respect of a contractual dispute regarding non-payment of fees.
Acting for the Claimant in the English High Court and Court of Appeal to enforce an overseas arbitral award.
