Chiara Vallone is an Associate in the Administrative and Public Law practice in Italy. 

Her expertise includes environmental law, public procurement, renewable and conventional energy, telecommunications, and broader regulatory compliance matters.

Chiara regularly advises on complex issues, including compliance with environmental regulations, public procurement and permitting procedures, in a wide range of sectors such as telecommunications, e-commerce, copyrights, pharmaceuticals, and transportation. In addition, Chiara provides litigation support in administrative law disputes, particularly those involving decisions by Italian Independent Authorities. 

She assists international and Italian clients, including technology corporations, innovative startups, social media platforms, e-commerce businesses, and energy, transportation, and healthcare companies.

Chiara joined the Hogan Lovells' team in 2021, after graduating in Law at Trento’s University. During her studies, as part of international exchange programs, she spent six months at Antwerp University in Belgium and another six months at New England University in Australia. 

She is passionate about pro bono causes, particularly those related to immigration and refugees.

Representative experience

Assistance to a multinational technology company on compliance with EU and domestic rules on environmental labelling requirements to facilitate the recycling of packaging. 

Assistance to a multinational technology company on disputes concerning the implementation of regulatory frameworks, including the E-commerce Directive, P2B regulation, and the Digital Services Act.

Assistance to a multinational electronics company on a dispute concerning environmental liability for contamination of a site and clean-up procedures.

Assistance to e-commerce and social media platforms on proceedings concerning violations of gambling advertising regulations and unfair commercial practices under Italian law.

Assistance to a multinational transportation company on a dispute regarding compliance with requirements imposed by local authorities for operating car rental with driver services.
