Josh Short advises clients on complex antitrust litigation matters. He helps clients navigate the various stages of litigation in state and federal courts as well as high-stakes government investigations.

Josh has experience defending class actions, multidistrict litigations, and merger challenges, including as a core member of the trial team that secured a victory in the Department of Justice’s lawsuit challenging  ASSA ABLOY's $4.3 billion acquisition of the HHI division of Spectrum Brands in 2023. Josh also represents companies in Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, and State Attorneys General antitrust investigations.

Earlier in his career, Josh served as a law clerk to the Honorable M. Casey Rodgers of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida.

While in law school, Josh served as an articles editor for the Virginia Law & Business Review. He also gained valuable experience as a student attorney for the Appellate Litigation Clinic, where he drafted briefs and successfully argued a case before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. At the University of Alabama, Josh was the Captain of the Men's Track & Field and Cross-Country team, leading the team to a Southeastern Conference championship and securing Academic All-American honors during his tenure.
