Josh Short advises clients on complex civil litigation matters. He helps clients navigate the various stages of litigation in state and federal courts as well as government investigations.

Josh has experience helping clients resolve pretrial disputes, as well as defending class action lawsuits and multidistrict litigation. He assists clients in all stages of litigation, including motions to dismiss, e-discovery, class certifications, motions for summary judgment, settlements, and trial. Josh also represents companies in Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, and State Attorneys General antitrust investigations.

Josh maintains an active pro bono practice, representing hate crime victims, veterans, transgender asylum applicants, and inmates challenging prison conditions.

While in law school, Josh served as an articles editor for the Virginia Law & Business Review, member of the Student Bar Association, and Peer Advisor. He also gained valuable experience as a student attorney for the Appellate Litigation Clinic, where he drafted briefs and successfully argued a case before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. At the University of Alabama, Josh was the Captain of the Men's Track & Field and Cross Country team, leading the team to a Southeastern Conference championship and securing Academic All-American honors during his tenure.
