As an associate in our London Corporate team, James advises both international and domestic clients on a wide range of corporate transactional and governance matters, with a particular focus on private M&A and private equity.

James represents clients from a broad range of sectors, but has significant experience in the financial services, IT / fintech and sport sectors, and has spent six months on secondment to a major London private equity house (Actis).

Literacy Capital plc on its significant minority investment into amplify5, a leading UK-headquartered business specialising in offshoring critical business function solutions to Cape Town.

Black Lion Ventures on its c.£7m follow-on investment into Funeral Safe (a UK consumer facing finance company). 

the management team at Zenzero Solutions on its majority acquisition by Macquarie Capital Principal Finance

the London & Capital Group (wealth and asset management firm) on its sale of a majority stake to private equity house Lovell Minnick Partners. 

Corporate governance work for Brighton & Hove Albion FC

the shareholders of Gore Browne Investment Management on the sale of GBIM to the Hurst Point Group.

IT / fintech private equity portfolio companies on multiple bolt-on acquisitions as part of broader buy and build strategies.
