Iris is a senior associate in the Hogan Lovells International Arbitration team focusing on public international law and, in particular, dispute settlement under investment treaties.

Iris acts for States, international organisations and businesses in international disputes, primarily international arbitrations under the ICSID, SCC, UNCITRAL, LCIA and ICC rules.

She has experience of dispute settlement in the oil and gas, media, telecommunications, banking and tertiary sectors. 

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Iris acquired experience in commercial arbitration, commercial litigation and public international law in leading law firms in London and Paris. 

Iris was one of the winning finalists of Delos Dispute Resolution’s 2021 Remote Oral Advocacy Programme (ROAP) for Latin America. Together with her team from the Paris Bar School, Iris also won the prize of the First Highest Ranked Claimant Memorial in the 2017 Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Moot.

Representative experience

Acting for Ukraine in an ICSID arbitration under the Sweden-Ukraine Bilateral Investment Treaty.

Acting for the Republic of India in an UNCITRAL arbitration under a Bilateral Investment Treaty.

Acting for a UK investor in an ICSID arbitration against Romania under the Energy Charter Treaty.

Acting for Irish investors in an ICSID arbitration against the Federal Republic of Germany under the Energy Charter Treaty.
