Rocio Sanchez-Arriola Luna focuses her practice on tax consulting and corporate law. She is a senior associate in our Monterrey office and works with the tax team led by Jaime Espinosa de los Monteros and Arturo Tiburcio. She has been a member of Hogan Lovells BSTL since 2016.
Rocio's experience in corporate and industrial affairs is very beneficial for a tax lawyer, and she relies on that experience when formalizing and implementing the corporate aspects of tax strategies. She has also assisted in the formation of companies and is involved in day-to-day tax and corporate work with clients. Rocío also assists in preparing and negotiating all kinds of contracts as a part of the company's day-to-day business.
She also supports several nonprofit organizations on legal affairs, mainly in tax consulting and corporate affairs. She helps nonprofits understand their needs, fulfill their tax obligations, and handle day-to-day operations. She makes sure her clients understand the legality of their actions, helping them meet the legal requirements of donations they receive in Mexico and abroad.
From 1994 to 2000 Rocio was a professor of tax law at Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City, where she taught a course on the federal fiscal code and income tax as well as a course on natural justice.
