Ruchi Rawat has a background of working in business law with emphasis on oil and gas sector and other cross border infrastructure deals and projects. She assists on negotiations and drafting of specialised project agreements and has also advised on several construction arbitrations arising from offshore and onshore EPC contracts.
Ruchi completed her degree in business administration and law in 2012 in India, and holds a LL.M with specialisation in international commercial arbitration from Bucerius Law School, Germany. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Ruchi worked as an in-house lawyer for 4 years with an energy major and with the legal and compliance team of a leading German fintech company. She has considerable experience in handling interface between legal, technical and commercial areas of a project.
Representative experience
Advising on the acquisition, the development and the procurement of photovoltaic products/solar cells from an international manufacturer for solar parks of total capacity 100 MWp.
Advising SAUR (French water supply and waste water company) on the acquisition of the Italian Unidro Group.
Advising a consortium of WTE Wassertechnik GmbH and International Financial Advisors Holding K.P.S.C (IFA) in the Umm Al-Hayman wastewater PPP project in Kuwait (construction volume USD 1.8 bn).
Assisted a renowned downstream solar company in the APAC region in drafting a suite of documents for procurement of photovoltaics and related products.
Advised Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd., in several international construction arbitrations and negotiation and drafting of EPC contracts in oil and gas sector.*
