Celia Reston is a commercial litigator who advises clients on a range of commercial disputes including High Court litigation.
Celia’s practice focuses in particular on civil fraud proceedings, which are high-value, multi-jurisdictional and complex in nature. She has particular experience in acting for clients based in the CIS region.
Representative experience
Advising on a shareholder dispute between three Ukrainian businessmen involving claims and counterclaims valued at well over US$1bn.
Advising the Provisional Liquidators and Liquidators of China Metal Recycling (Holdings) Ltd on a multi-billion HK$ claim and winding-up proceedings in Hong Kong, and related proceedings in England.
Advising a bank in relation to threatened claims against major card issuers which included allegations of abuse of dominance and a complaint to the PSR.
Advising BTA Bank in its long-running litigation against Mukhtar Ablyazov.
Advising corporates on anti-corruption compliance, policies and procedures.
