Matthew Quandt helps clients solve complex corporate problems, maximizing business strategy while managing risk. Matthew values understanding the priorities of business and legal professionals across the client’s organization, and works to meet those needs with clear communication and pragmatic solutions. He advises corporate clients and nonprofit organizations on a variety of corporate law matters, with a focus on M&A, including acquisitions, private equity financings, joint ventures, and technology transactions. He also counsels clients on a wide range of issues, particularly employment, intellectual property, entity formation and structuring, corporate governance, commercial contract drafting, and digital content licensing and distribution.

Matthew’s years of paralegal experience at a major entertainment company have provided him with the insight to negotiate deal terms to maximize his client’s position. His practice spans many industries, including government contractors, trade associates, nonprofit organizations, technology companies, entertainment and media, aviation, construction, food and beverage, and consulting firms.

Matthew has analyzed and prepared memos on emerging and quickly changing legal issues, including the effects of COVID-19 on M&A, the tax implications for nonprofits of live and virtual events, and the prosecutorial direction of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). While in law school, Matthew held internships with a major healthcare technology company and an anti-human-trafficking nonprofit.
