Hogan Lovells Brings Together Industry and Government Leaders for Second Annual Health Privacy Law Forum

Attendees from the health and technology industries heard from OCR on the upcoming Phase 2 HIPAA audits, as well as on recent OCR enforcement action.  Attendees engaged in a discussion on digital health and the many regulatory agencies engaged in the oversight of organizations that maintain health information.  Forum attendees also discussed best practices related to breach preparedness and response within the dynamic and evolving cyber threat landscape, as well as opportunities for information-sharing in order to best combat increasingly sophisticated attacks.

Hogan Lovells hosted the forum on the eve of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Global Privacy Summit and the IAPP Privacy Bar’s inaugural meeting, where many Hogan Lovells attorneys will be speaking on privacy and cybersecurity topics including health, big data, FCC enforcement, and international trade agreements.
