On Thursday, October 9, 2014, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) filed suit against the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) challenging the interpretive rule implementing the 340B statute's orphan drug exception. The complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
