Caterina Poli is an Associate in the Administrative and Public Law practice in Italy. 

She has acquired valuable experience in environmental law, public procurement, energy regulation (both renewable and conventional) and compliance. 

In particular, Caterina provides support in public procurement procedures initiated by Italian contracting authorities and during the post-award phase. Additionally, she is involved in projects related to public-private partnerships aimed at developing significant infrastructure initiatives. Her experience also extends to litigation proceedings in the above mentioned areas.

Caterina advises both international and Italian clients across various sectors, including energy, telecommunications, the sharing economy, healthcare, and e-commerce. 

Before joining Hogan Lovells in 2024, Caterina worked with an Italian administrative law firm. She earned her Law degree from the University of Trento in 2018.

Representative experience

Assistance to a multinational on acquiring sites and buildings for environmental compliance, including verifying additional permit needs and the validity of existing permits for proposed activities.

Assistance to an innovative start-up company challenging the non-award of a public grant for innovative start-ups.

Assistance to an e-commerce and social media platform in integrating an e-procurement platform registered with RPC, managed by ANAC, into the public procurement digitization system. 

Assistance to a major oil and gas company in a dispute over liability for site contamination, including related remediation activities and damages claimed by the relevant authorities.

Assistance to e-commerce and social media platforms in AGCOM proceedings for gambling ad violations, and to tech legal teams on the implications of DSA, P2B, and national regulations.
