Naomi Parmar has a wide-ranging practice advising on all aspects of domestic and cross-border restructurings and formal insolvency processes, including amend and extends, debt for equity swaps and schemes of arrangement. 

She represents bank creditors, debt funds and insolvency practitioners, as well as investors looking to invest in distressed situations. She has advised on restructuring and refinancing transactions in a range of industries including retail, casual dining, real estate and care homes.

Representative experience

Acting for PwC as administrators on the pre-pack administration deal for foreign exchange firm Travelex.

Advising debt fund on refinancing of the Fortenova group's €1.2bn existing facilities via a secured private note issuance.

Advising a PE house on successful consensual restructuring of German automotive business with Dutch holding structure, including interim financing and partial debt for equity swap.

Acting for lenders of €1bn DIP financing to the Agrokor group under new special administration law, including on scheme of arrangement to allow successful implementation of its restructuring plan.

Acting for existing lenders to the Gaucho restaurant group on a credit bid to acquire the restaurant group following its administration and subsequent company voluntary arrangement.

Acting for two special situations desks in relation to the acquisition and subsequent debt for equity conversion of their investment in certain European infrastructure.

Acting for a syndicate of bank lenders on the £2bn debt restructuring of a major UK privately-owned construction group.

Advising the lender on debt provided to and the subsequent appointment of receivers over certain properties owned by an overseas hotel group and on the subsequent business sales.
