Sam Norris is a partner in the London Restructuring & Special Situations team. Sam has extensive and wide-ranging experience advising the private capital industry on complex event-driven transactions. 

He works with clients, including credit funds, public companies, hedge funds, and specialty and special situations investing firms, on stressed and special situations lending, leveraged buyouts, distressed investing and other credit opportunities.   

Representative experience

Advised a leading asset manager in relation to a €500 million investment in a Spanish multimedia communications group.*

Advised a leading alternative asset manager in relation to its investments in connection with Italian gas power projects.*

Advised Vision Ridge Partners and Havila Holding on the sale of Fjord1.*

Advised Smurfit Kappa on the financing aspects of its proposed combination with WestRock.*

Advised Blackstone Mortgage Trust and Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies on the financing of its $6.4 billion acquisition of the Crown Resorts luxury hotel and casino portfolio in Australia.*
