Nikolaus von Bargen fights passionately for the rights of his clients. He has always been fascinated by written and spoken argumentation. As a lawyer, he is able to combine the legal knowledge he acquired during his studies and his doctorate with his linguistic skills. He advises national and international companies in all areas of intellectual property law with a focus on trademark and competition law.
Nikolaus's clients include companies from a wide range of industries. His insights into their various business areas, such as medical products, consumer goods, media and technology, give him a broad understanding of the needs of the market. In addition to the worldwide judicial and extrajudicial enforcement of intellectual property rights and competition law claims, his work for his clients also includes strategic trademark consulting. As a digital native and advocate of IT-supported conflict resolution, he is familiar with the challenges of digital change in both the commercial and legal fields.
Nikolaus completed his studies at the Heinrich Heine University Dusseldorf and the University of Gdansk (Poland). In 2023, he received his doctorate with a thesis on “Procedural equality of arms in preliminary injunction proceedings”. During his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Brandenburg, he worked at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, in the litigation department of a renowned Berlin law firm and at the Alicante office of Hogan Lovells.
