Based in Warsaw, the project brings together Polish and Ukrainian pro bono lawyers to provide legal information and assistance to refugees from Ukraine.
Every day, one of the participating pro bono lawyers is on duty at one of four locations, assisting with cases as they come in and advising on a wide range of issues. Over the past year, lawyers from the UPBC have provided more than 3,400 hours of free legal advice and have assisted over 7,100 people.
Andrzej Dębiec, Pro Bono Partner in the Warsaw Hogan Lovells office commented: “We are honoured that Hogan Lovells' commitment to the legal support project for Ukrainian citizens has been recognised and once again awarded in the prestigious pro bono competition. We are proud that our Warsaw team is sharing its experience and time to support those in need. This is another example of how pro bono work is an integral part of Hogan Lovells' culture.”
We are profoundly grateful to all the firms and pro bono lawyers involved. For more information, please click here.
