In a Bloomberg Law article discussing one of the term’s most closely watched cases over the availability of the abortion drug mifepristone, partners Jessica Ellsworth and Cate Stetson share their thoughts on the far reaching implications of this case.
Ellsworth and Stetson represent mifepristone manufacturer Danco Laboratories, along with partners Philip Katz, Lynn Mehler and Jo-Ann Sagar, senior associates Danielle Stempel and Marlan Golden, and associates Eva Schifini and Dana Raphael.
“This really shouldn’t be thought of as just an abortion case,” Stetson said. The fundamental doctrines of standing and administrative law are “implicated here, and if they get bent to fit the subject matter there’s going to be a dangerous consequence.”
