Hogan Lovells lawyers Owen Chan, Tommy Liu and Yolanda Lau qualify to practice PRC law in the GBA

Hong Kong, 10 August 2023 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells has expanded its PRC law offering for clients, with Office Managing Partner Owen Chan, partner Tommy Liu, and senior associate Yolanda Lau passing the Greater Bay Area (GBA) legal professional examination which allows Hong Kong legal practitioners to practice PRC law in the GBA. 

Owen, Tommy and Yolanda received formal notification of registration in late June and recently obtained and registered their GBA Lawyer licence through China Commercial Lam Lee Lai (Qianhai) Law Firm in the capacity as an independent consultant.   

The GBA comprises the two special administrative regions – Hong Kong and Macao – and nine cities: Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing in Guangdong Province.
