Hogan Lovells continues expansion in Singapore with leading cybersecurity hire, Charmian Aw

London, Singapore, 10 February 2025 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells continues its rapid growth and expansion in Singapore with the appointment of leading data, privacy and cybersecurity partner, Charmian Aw, as a partner in the firm’s Global Regulatory & IP practice. Based in Singapore, Charmian joins on 25 February from Squire Patton Boggs, bringing extensive experience in data privacy, cybersecurity and technology transactions across the Asia Pacific region.

This hire marks the firm’s fifth recent addition in Singapore, following the appointments of private equity and funds partners Siew Kam Boon, Timothy Goh, and Thomas Kim, as well as Rob Palmer in International Arbitration. In addition to these hires, Hogan Lovells recently expanded its Hong Kong office with the appointment of Michael Wong, a leading funds lawyer, and Maria Sit, a prominent regulatory enforcement and disputes expert, alongside their teams from Dechert. These additions reflect the firm’s strategic investment across Asia, strengthening its capabilities in private funds, complex disputes, and cross-border investigations to meet the evolving needs of clients in the region.
