Paris, 3 January 2024 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised Caisse Régionale de Crédit Mutuel de la Martinique et de la Guyane, Caisse Régionale de Crédit Agricole Mutuel de la Guadeloupe and Crédit Lyonnais in connection with the financing of MADIACOM's general requirements and capital expenditure to modernize its radio access network and expand its sites in the French West Indies.

MADIACOM is the result of a joint venture between Free Caraïbe, a subsidiary of the telecommunications company ILIAD S.A. founded by Xavier Niel, and Digicel French Caribbean, a subsidiary of DIGICEL, a telecommunications company based in Jamaica and present in various Caribbean islands.

This joint venture was set up by ILIAD S.A. and DIGICEL to pool their respective 3G and 4G mobile infrastructure networks, thus enabling the increased deployment of telecommunications services in the Caribbean.

The Hogan Lovells team formed for this transaction was led by partner Olivier Fille-Lambie, assisted by senior associate Alexandre Salem and associate Jeangély Ampion-Liyono.
