EU-UK Spotlight: Renewables, trade, and the global supply chain
George brings extensive experience across multiple radiocommunication services. He was most recently the Vice Chair of the WAC’s Informal Working Group 4, which focuses on mobile-satellite and space science matters. Beyond the WAC, his law practice spans an array of space services including fixed-satellite; mobile-satellite; radionavigation-satellite (or positioning, navigation, and timing); Earth exploration-satellite; space research; and space operation interests and non-space services for land-mobile, fixed, and aeronautical interests.
“I am honored and deeply appreciative of this opportunity,” said George. “The WAC plays a critical role in shaping U.S. positions for WRC‑27. As Chair, my priority is to ensure that our work is transparent, efficient, and anchored in reality. With limited time remaining in the cycle, we must focus on achievable outcomes that strengthen U.S. competitiveness while safeguarding essential incumbent operations.”
“We are very proud of George’s appointment,” said Ari Fitzgerald, who leads Hogan Lovells’ Communications, Internet, and Media practice. “He brings practical experience across both satellite and terrestrial communications, which will be invaluable as the United States prepares for WRC 27.”
