Mark is a Counsel in our London office.  He is a member of our Infrastructure, Energy, Resources and Projects team.  Mark's practice is focussed on all aspects of energy transition and Net Zero.  He has extensive experience advising both private and public sector clients in this area, on development, financings, acquisitions and disposals, and the surrounding legal and regulatory environment.

Representative experience

The Crown Estate on leasing of the UK sea-bed for Carbon, Capture, Usage and Storage, and floating offshore wind

Developer on its disposal of a majority stake in a permitted floating offshore wind project

UK Government on possible support and market solutions for UK gas storage

Ofgem on its role as future regulator of the Carbon, Capture, Usage and Storage market in the UK

An investment fund on its investment in, and restructuring of, a fibre-to-the-premises business in the UK

Independent Oil & Gas plc on its £250m farm-out of a 50% interest in six North Sea gas fields, and associated gas processing and pipeline facilities, and its simultaneous refinancing
