Kate has a broad corporate practice with a particular focus on M&A (including public takeovers, private acquisitions, joint ventures and VC investments) and equity capital markets, across a variety of sectors.

Kate has experience advising a wide range of clients (from FTSE 100 listed companies to tech start-ups), with previous clients including Aviva, Legal & General, Pollen Street, Goldman Sachs, Shaftesbury, Countrywide, HAYS, TrueLayer, and others.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Kate was an associate in the corporate department of a Magic Circle law firm in London.

Representative experience

An international bank on its acquisition of the retail banking business of a UK retailer (and associated banking business part VII) and including a long term strategic partnership agreement 

Advising the UK government on the takeover of International Distribution Services plc, the parent company of Royal Mail, by the EP Group 

New Incubation Ventures, the strategic early-stage investment arm of The Estée Lauder Companies, on its investments in Vyrao and Haeckels 

Shaftesbury plc on its all-share merger with Capital & Counties Properties plc to create Shaftesbury Capital PLC, to create a central London REIT with a combined portfolio of approximately £5bn 

Goldman Sachs in connection with its investment in Starling Bank 

International Finance Corporation (IFC) on various investments, including Cash Plus (Moroccan financial services provider), MNT-Halan (Egyptian fintech platform) and Lagos Free Zone (FTZ in Nigeria

Virunga Power on the commitment by Gridworks, a UK government-backed investor, to invest up to $50 million to fund new sustainable electricity generation projects across Africa
